In the centre of Seminyak this is one of the must do bars for anyone arriving, we hit this night one straight off the plane. Really good mix of backpackers and locals, huge ques but for $5 you can have the locals que jump for you, $5 beers which is only a dollar more than usual.

Ratio: 60/40 to the guys with another 60/40 ratio to the loclas

Skygarden kuta

One of the best nights so far, this place is huge from the upstairs outdoors area to the huge main room and even a small live music room.

1500,000 / $15 will get you in with 3hrs of all you can eat and drink and the food here was pretty incredicble, drinks are beers, basic spirits and cocktails.

Ratio: 50/50 great ratio but it is Kuta so be ready for all the Aussie “lads, lads, lads” again great mix of locals and “tourists” not so much backpackers and be carefull as most local girls you talk to will ask for money for the “night” .

Old Mans

This awesome little beach bar, is where you go after a day of surfing with a very chilled atmosphere of people hanging out drinking beers before the dancefloor starts to pack out.

Be ready for those Australian prices though with $8 for a mixer where it is normally $4 it’s  double the price.

Ratio: 60/40 to the girls and some absolute worldies walking around, Aussie central again with those Byron bay bar feels.

The reggae bar of the island, this features a lot of awesome live music. The place is pretty big inside with a main dancefloor and 1st floor featuring a balcony area around the  whole bar. We arrived here around New Years so maybe the bar was extra ful but very busy with locals all goimg for it with crowd surfing and even mosh pits.

Standard priced drinks going for duration we were on the Vodka red bulls.

Ratio: 65/35 to the boys as there were a lot of guys from Lombok there for New Years, with a couple of back packers to mix up the crowd.
